Quality Control

The quality control system for laboratory analyses at “Mrcheveli” is transparent and accessible to all interested parties.

If desired, any patient can visit our laboratory and receive comprehensive information about every standard step of the analysis process—from placing an order to receiving the results.

The laboratory operates under an internationally recognized internal and external quality control system. These standards are followed by Western and Eastern European laboratories that are part of the Limbach Diagnostics Group.

External quality control is regularly conducted by the Society for the Promotion of Quality Assurance in Medical Laboratories (INSTAND e.V., Deutschland, http://www.instandev.de/ringversuche).

Internal quality control is carried out using standard control materials at the frequency specified in the analyzer’s instructions. Considering the experience of European laboratories, “Mrcheveli” has also established an internal standard that increases the frequency of internal controls: the control material ensures the accuracy of laboratory instruments, while all patient samples with pathological indicators undergo additional verification.
