Ana Mikaberidze joined “Mrcheveli” in 2025 as an endocrinologist. She specializes in the diagnosis and management of endocrine and metabolic disorders, nutritional assessment and support.
Dr. Mikaberidze’s clinical expertise encompasses obesity and weight management, diabetes mellitus, insulin resistance, thyroid pathologies, hyperlipidemia, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She has extensive experience in the perioperative endocrine and metabolic management of bariatric surgery patients, as well as the clinical implementation of advanced incretin-based therapies.
A graduate of Tbilisi State Medical University, Dr. Mikaberidze completed her residency training in endocrinology and successfully passed Steps 1 and 2 of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE). From 2023 to 2025, she practiced at American Hospital Tbilisi, managing complex endocrine pathologies, including adrenal and pituitary diseases, post-thyroidectomy care, intensive insulin regimens, and dynamic endocrine diagnostic testing.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Mikaberidze is a guest lecturer at Ilia State University, Caucasus University, and European University.
Her international academic contributions include clinical case presentations at the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) and European Young Endocrine Scientists (EYES) conference in Finland (2024). In 2025, she participated in the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) annual meeting, the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) congress, and served as a speaker and panel co-chair at the 6th World Congress of the International Bariatric Club at the University of Oxford.
Dr. Mikaberidze co-founded the Georgian Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (GSPEN). She holds active professional memberships in the ESE, ESPEN, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE), and the Georgian Academy of Nutrition. She is also a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified nutrition professional.
