Developmental Screening Test
Developmental screening is a proactive approach to childhood healthcare. Rather than focusing solely on identifying potential delays, it serves as a valuable tool to map a child’s specific strengths and areas for growth, ensuring timely and effective support for their unique development.
The Pediatric and Psychological Department at Mrcheveli utilizes the German standardized developmental screening test ET 6-6-R, which is fully adapted for the Georgian population. Designed for children aged 1 to 6 years, this validated tool evaluates core developmental domains, including:
- Fine Motor Skills: Hand and wrist movements and coordination.
- Gross Motor Skills: Large body movements, balance, and physical coordination.
- Cognitive Abilities: Learning, reasoning, and information processing.
- Socio-Emotional Development: Emotional regulation and social interaction skills.
- Speech and Language Acquisition: Age-appropriate communication and comprehension.
Following the assessment, parents receive a comprehensive overview of the results, alongside clinical guidance and personalized recommendations for purposeful play and developmental activities tailored to support their child’s unique growth journey.
