Nino Jashiashvili is a pediatrician and infectious disease specialist who has been practicing in children’s healthcare for over 25 years. She joined the pediatric and psychological team at Mrcheveli in 1999.
She provides consultations in both general pediatrics and infectious diseases. Dr. Jashiashvili emphasizes an individualized approach to each child, alongside open, clear, and trust-based communication with parents to ensure a calm and effective treatment process for the entire family.
Her primary clinical interests include pediatric infectious diseases, antimicrobial therapy, and the rational use of antibiotics, with a strong focus on the global challenge of antibiotic resistance. Since 2012, she has led the Antimicrobial Chemotherapy Service and the Georgian chapter of the Alliance for the Prudent Use of Antibiotics (APUA-Georgia).
To continuously update her clinical expertise, she regularly participates in international congresses and trainings, having completed clinical fellowships and training at university hospitals in Vienna, Graz, Tel Aviv, and Washington, D.C.
Dr. Jashiashvili holds a PhD in Medicine. Her doctoral dissertation focused on complications following pediatric cardiothoracic surgery. She is the author of 11 scientific publications, with her work published in Georgian and international medical journals and presented at various international congresses.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling.
