Lela Inaishvili joined “Mrcheveli” in 2012. She specializes in adult general and specialty ultrasound, integrating clinical practice with active academic research.
Dr. Inaishvili’s clinical interests encompass ultrasound evaluation of the hepatobiliary and urinary systems, thyroid and cervical region, breasts, female reproductive organs, soft tissues, and lymph nodes, as well as pediatric ultrasound and elastography.
To advance her professional development, Dr. Inaishvili has completed numerous international certification programs, including the GEO-JEFF ultrasonography educational initiative at Thomas Jefferson University and the Open Medical Institute’s Salzburg Medical Seminar in Diagnostic Imaging. She is a regular speaker and educational participant at “Euroson,” the international congress organized by the European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology.
A PhD candidate and researcher at the University of Georgia’s School of Health Sciences since 2023, her doctoral research focuses on evaluating liver stiffness-based fibrosis staging in patients with chronic hepatitis B in Georgia – analyzing its correlation with virological, clinical, demographic, and behavioral factors.
Dr. Inaishvili has authored and co-authored scientific articles in international, peer-reviewed journals, and frequently presents scientific abstracts and posters at major international congresses.
Her professional memberships include the European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology, the European Society of Radiology, and the Georgian Association of Hepatologists. She is also a co-founder and member of the Georgian Ultrasound Association.
