- Complete Blood Count (CBC)
- Reticulocytes (RET)
- Ferritin (Ferr)
- Iron (Iron)
- Transferrin (TRSF)
- Transferrin Saturation (TS)
- Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC)
Preparation:
10 - 12 hours fasting, preferred but not required (consult your Physician); for 24 hours before blood collection, patient should not take iron-containing supplements; multivitamins or dietary supplements (eg, hair, skin, and nail supplements) containing biotin (vitamin B7).
