After the completion of the 10th week of pregnancy, the little one in the womb is no longer referred to as an embryo; it is now called a fetus. At this stage, the primary organs—such as the brain, heart, lungs, arms, and legs—are already formed. Now, they are growing and developing further. Bones and cartilage are forming, and small indentations on the legs are transforming into knees and feet. The fetus is already able to move its limbs.
The “Tooth Fairy” also arrives at the 10-week mark, announcing that your fetus is developing tooth buds under the gums. Other organs are also beginning to function: the stomach produces digestive juices, the kidneys produce urine, and if the fetus is male, it is already producing testosterone.
